Dr Gordley (Plastic Surgeon) came out and said he just finished with implanting the expanders. He said Dr Fitzsullivan did an excellent job and it made his work go smoothly. Patti will spend 1-1 1/2 hr in recovery before being moved to a room for the night. He said she will be able to go home as soon as her pain is under control...meaning that she doesn't need the PCA pump and will tolerate oral pain killers. We talked this morning prior to her going into surgery and Patti said she wasn't going to push it, but to take advantage of some quiet, resting and healing time.
